‘Margaret Thatcher and No.10’ is an innovative contemporary history project, produced by the Policy Institute at King’s College London in collaboration with No.10 Downing Street. Through six long-form interviews with some of the main protagonists, the project offers a unique insight into the key themes and events of Margaret Thatcher’s premiership.
Launched at Strand Group 5 on 23 September 2015, the project forms part of a burgeoning relationship between No.10 Downing Street and King’s College London.
The Strand Group is the signature seminar series of the Policy Institute at King’s and aims to explore how power operates at the very centre of government. The reform of the machinery of government, domestic and regional policy, economics and finance, defence, security and intelligence issues are all covered by the group’s events.
The Strand Group is proudly sponsored by Hewlett Packard, whose support provides bursaries for students studying contemporary political history and helps fund the group’s research and seminar programme.
