Mario Pisani appointed as Visiting Professor at King’s

The Department of Political Economy, the Policy Institute and the Strand Group are delighted to announce the appointment of Mario Pisani as a Visiting Professor at King’s.

Since August 2013 Mario has been Deputy Director at HM Treasury, most recently for the Debt and Reserves Management team in the Treasury’s Fiscal Group. Before that he served across a range of policy, analytical and communications roles, including as Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Deputy Head of Communications.

Mario, who was previously a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King’s, will continue to contribute his expertise and experience to the Strand Group’s teaching modules, events series and research initiatives. In particular, he still continue to co-teach on the Department of Political Economy’s module ‘The Treasury and an introduction to Economic History – in Partnership with HM Treasury’.

The Director of the Strand Group Dr Jon Davis said: ‘We at King’s are absolutely delighted to welcome Mario as Visiting Professor. It has been a pleasure to work alongside him over the past five years and this recognition is richly deserved.
