Chetun Patel is a Lecturer in ‘Chancellors and Treasury: Managing the British Economy’ and is part of the Strand Group in the Policy Institute at King’s.
Previously, Chetun was a senior proprietary trader at JP Morgan. Chetun studied Economics at BSc level at the London School of Economics and Contemporary British History at MA level at Queen Mary University of London.
His PhD thesis, undertaken at King’s College London was entitled ‘A history of the road to, the mechanics and the realisation of the UK Government’s 1997 Decision to Grant Operational Independence to a Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England to Set Interest Rates’.
