After a great deal of hard work, we are absolutely delighted to announce that an unprecedented **six** fee-paying studentships for our new MA programme will be launching for our first year. And this is just the start. We are trying to make the MA Government Studies at King’s College London the very best it can be.
From uniquely partnered teaching with No10 Downing Street, HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office to preferential access to the extraordinary Strand Group network, from small cohort face-to-face teaching to expert academics including Professor Ed Balls, this Masters is going to be something different. (See the previous blogs here, here & here) And we want the very best students, talented and enthusiastic, to enjoy this experience.
My team and I all benefited from financial support schemes to pursue postgraduate education. Which is why we have worked so hard to secure and are so happy to now offer six fully-funded studentships – £150,000 in total – for those who may otherwise be unable afford the fees. These will be competitively granted, have a widening participation dimension with applications particularly welcome from traditionally under-represented groups, and will begin this September. Huge respect and thanks go to Amazon Web Services, the Chris Martin Memorial Trust, Roderick Jones, and King’s Widening Participation.
Closing date for applications is 10 June and interviews will take place week beginning 17 June. Find out more about studentships here.
